Jinxian
County is located in the middle north of Jiangxi Province, south bank
of Poyang Lake, and the lower reaches of Fu River and Xin River. It
 neighbors
Dongxiang County in the east, Linchuan County in the south, looks
towards Fengcheng Municipality and Nanchang County across Fu River
in the west, and neighbors Yugan County with its Yangfang Lake and
Xin River. The whole country spans for about 52km from east to west,
and about 65km from south to north, with a total land area of 1955
sq. The county is named for Dantai Mieming, one of Confucian's 72
most famous students, who traveled and lectured here. The county has
a long history of culture, well known for its rich natural resources
and talented people.
Minhe Town, capital of the county, is an ancient site located in
the middle south of the country, neighboring Ma Mountain in the south
and Qinglan Lake in the north.
Jinxian County is the junction to enter Nanchang from Yangtze River
Delta. As a developing town and east portal of Nanchang, it is only
60km from the capital city by road. Jingfu, Hurui Expressways, national
highways 320 and 316, and Zhegan Railway converge here. |
